1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how DPOCertification.Org uses cookies and similar technologies on DPOcertifications.org, and how you can manage preferences. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and is designed to align with the DPDP Act and DPDP Rules, including consent and notice requirements for non-essential tracking.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and SDKs. They help the Platform function, keep you signed in, remember preferences, and—only with consent—understand how the Platform is used.
3. Consent Manager (Complynz)
We use Complynz Consent Banner to present cookie choices, record consent/withdrawal, and help enforce purpose-based loading of non-essential technologies.
Property ID: 01a02a7b-f0df-773f-b7f3-48fc867ca532
You can change or withdraw cookie consent at any time using the banner controls (or “Cookie settings” link where shown). Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent.
4. Categories of cookies
We group cookies as follows:
- Strictly necessary — required for security, authentication, load balancing, fraud prevention, and remembering your consent choice. These do not require consent under a legitimate-use / essential-service framing.
- Functional — remember UI preferences and improve experience (loaded with consent where required).
- Analytics — measure traffic and feature usage to improve the Platform (consent-based).
- Marketing / advertising — if enabled in future, used for relevant communications or campaigns (consent-based; disabled until consented).
5. Examples we use
Typical cookies / storage on the Platform include:
- Session / auth cookies (e.g. dpo_session) — keep you signed in securely
- Referral cookie (e.g. dpo_ref) — attribute referral codes when you arrive via a shared link
- Supabase / OAuth auth cookies — complete Google, email OTP, or phone OTP sign-in
- Complynz consent cookies — store your cookie preference record and banner state
- Vercel / hosting technical cookies — delivery and performance of the site
6. How we honour your choice
Non-essential scripts and tags are intended to load only after you accept the relevant purposes in the Complynz banner. Strictly necessary cookies may set before the banner interaction so the Platform and consent tooling can function.
If you reject non-essential cookies, you can still use core learning features; some optional analytics or enhancements may be limited.
7. Browser controls
You may also block or delete cookies via browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in, checkout, or progress saving.
8. Data Principal rights
Cookie consent records and related personal data are processed as described in our Privacy Policy. To exercise DPDP rights (access, correction, erasure, withdrawal), contact privacy@dpocertification.org. For grievances: grievance@dpocertification.org.
9. Updates
This Cookie Policy was last updated on 22 August 2026. Material changes will be reflected here and, where required, through an updated consent notice.
This document is provided for transparency regarding DPOCertification.Org's Platform operations. It is not a substitute for organisation-specific legal advice under the DPDP Act.
